Ya know what Jonathan, you’re correct that if you don’t believe in the Holy Trinity, then you are not a Christian. This actually was the doctrine that finally made me realize that I could no longer honestly call myself a Christian.

I still consider myself a disciple of Jesus. But this whole Christ business (including Jon’s “Christ consciousness”) seems wholly unnecessary to understand and live by what Jesus taught. It in fact complicates and muddies the matter. This and other so-called doctrines are the source of schism. Just love your neighbor as yourself. It’s really that simple! Serve God, not money, or hate, or fear. Easier said than done, I know…
