What could Christianity have become if it were more influenced by Hindu or Taoist philosophies. Maybe we’d have more Ralph Waldo Emerson’s in our world and culture. I consider myself a non-dualistic disciple of Jesus (not claiming Christianity, nor would I call myself a Taoist or even Buddhist). I’ve found so much overlap and agreement between Proberbs, Psalms, some of the prophets, and Jesus’s teachings with the Tao Te Ching, the Bhagavad Gita, and many of the Buddhist sutras.

It’s almost like trying to examine a sculpture and realizing you’ve only been looking at it with a torch light and discovering something new when examining it under an incandescent bulb, or sunlight. The philosophies are the frameworks in which we view the teachings, each one a different source of light highlighting different properties of the whole.

Yet another white dude with yet another opinion. Is that opinion founded in Wisdom? I don't know, you tell me.
