I would argue that if you are seeking and still yet “unsure” of your knowledge and authority, then you’re ready and don’t need a guru. The dangers of the spiritual path come from overzealousness and ego. But if you’re already naturally keeping yourself in check, then you’re ready to avoid those traps.

That feeling of being unsure, it never really goes away. Cherish and hold onto it. Awakening doesn’t take away uncertainty, it broadens trust so you don’t need to be certain.
