Take it from someone in their late 30’s and went through the same experiments in my 20’s as you’re currently going through… Drugs are freaking fun! Especially weed and shrooms! I’ve only tripped on lsd twice, but those were fun times.

There is a danger beyond dosage, however, especially in your 20’s. Many times mental health issues are lying dormant or just under the surface enough to not be noticeable. Drug use can exacerbate symptoms, especially if you were unaware that you may be “borderline”. Not to mention other drug interactions that are not as well documented, caffeine for instance.

A very close friend of mine, who went through the same experimentation phase along with me, had fun as well but there were side effects that weren’t so fun. Turns out they were/are ultra sensitive to caffeine. That plus the other substances we were using (mostly weed) created negative loops in their head that they couldn’t shake. It too several manic episodes, periods of being institutionalized, and a lot of love and support to finally make the connection between weed and caffeine for them. They made it through and are highly successful now, but there was nearly a decade of hard lessons to be learned.

Yet another white dude with yet another opinion. Is that opinion founded in Wisdom? I don't know, you tell me.
