Or alternatively, you can interpret it as beliefs or worship or acknowledgment of the Warrior aspect of God. If God is infinite, then God encompasses war and violence as well. It’s a dangerous aspect to be sure, but highly comforting to a soldier on the battlefield to believe God is with them even there and then. I believe God is still there for them… on both “sides” of a conflict.
