Many great points! I think using art to convey philosophy is right at home with the existentialists. However, even that is relegated to a “sideshow” as opposed to “real” analytical philosophy in most departments.

I’d love to see philosophy unchained from the ivory tower. Everybody has a philosophy, and many of us could use some art and literature to make our philosophies better. It is our human birthright, and shouldn’t only be studied by the intellectual few.
