Kinda like the expansion of the observable universe, isn’t it? There was one interesting theory of knowledge, I forget the author, where knowledge is described metaphorically as a sphere. As we push the boundaries of the known, the unknown expands exponentially as it is conceptualized as the expanding surface area of the sphere.

I understand the dimensions like this… there’s up-down, left-right, inner-outer, and many more such physical relationships which represent dimensions within our experience. Notice my almost instinctive use of “within” when trying to describe experiences.

These dimensions are not just physical, they are perceptual and therefore mental. Therein lies one of the primal dimensions that we assume all sentient beings to have, inner-outer, physical-mental.

Getting to the point, we have all these dimensions, some so primal and universal that they’ve been hard-coded into our physics, biology, philosophy and culture. There are other dimensions that we commonly experience but they’re somehow less grounded in the “physical”, examples such as love-hate, rich-poor, happy-sad. We still experience them because they are indeed grounded somehow, but the link is obscured.

Then there are other dimensions not so common and seem to not be grounded at all in the physical dimensions. These are the ones we don’t understand but I think more are coming into contact with.

This is how I understand the AA’s words. Thank you for bringing them to us!

Yet another white dude with yet another opinion. Is that opinion founded in Wisdom? I don't know, you tell me.
