I’ve come to the conclusion that the truth is often far messier, more chaotic, and difficult to understand. Therefore conspiracy theories provide a shortcut to satisfy our need to make sense of things. They’re more cognitively efficient. Why bother with unraveling the truth when you already have the “answer” you were looking for?

I believe it’s far more likely that the truth can’t be effectively unraveled, or separated out from the noise because the truth IS the noise, and it makes no sense. But then again, I could be wrong about all of that! ☺️
