Interesting premise! It makes sense to study the gradual approach to fully autonomous traffic, being that will likely be the case for the foreseeable future. I’d be interested to see how robotic cars deal with collisions and/or traffic congestion caused by collisions. For instance, the best route suddenly becoming a nightmare route due to a multi-car collision shutting down multiple lanes of traffic.
Also, I’d love to see how robotic cars deal with Memphis, TN drivers. Having driven in multiple cities, I’m quite confident we’re some of the worst! 😝
