Interesting. According to de Waal’s observations and descriptions, I’m more of an alpha male than I thought! Which is pretty damn funny and somewhat empowering (as if I needed any more empowerment with the privileges I enjoy as a tall, white, somewhat attractive cisgendered male). Thank you for pointing this out to me, because I never really knew the origin of that term! Maybe it’s time I pick up my club and start beating these false-alphas upside the head!
