Thank you for taking the time to explain the actual international law regarding this particular word, “genocide”. I’ve been on the fence in my judgment of the matter, knowing enough to know that I don’t know enough. Now I feel like I know a little more and am thankful I will not be in a position to judge anyone.

Having said that, my gut has been telling me Israel may not be entirely in the right, but they do have justification. Hamas exists to see Israel destroyed. How does one ethically and morally deal with such a neighbor? I don’t think Israel has done the best job, but who could? What would that even look like? I hope I never have to answer that question for myself and my loved ones.
