I was tempted to respond to this right away, without reading the rest, but I resisted. My initial response was “Of course nothing you do today will be good next year, it’s not supposed to. Do what’s good today, and worry about what’s good next year, well, next year!”
Now, having read the rest of the article, I see my initial response is pretty much on point. The assertion above is merely the flip side of the assertion “this too shall pass”.
I’d like to say that inner peace is an instinctual response, and that I exhibit it in all I do. I don’t. It takes practice. But today is a beautiful day isn’t it?
