I consider myself a disciple of Jesus, but not a Christian. Seems I’m not the only one. For me, it is the insistence on dogma and fundamentalist ideology rather than nurturing an actual experience of and relationship with God. I also can’t accept the Bible as the word of God. That feels like idolatry to me, and something that only someone who’s got something to hide would tell you.
