I can testify that this is indeed my creative process. When I sit down to play my guitar or arrange a digital, I move myself out of the way. I listen to the tones and where they want to go. I let my fingers and ears run free and play on the playground that is the guitar in my hands. I only allow myself to come back into the mix afterwards when my fingers and ears have created something cool. That’s when I’ll start trying to carve a song out of what was created.

Until then, I move out of the way and let the music flow through me with as little resistance as possible
