I appreciate a thoughtful assessment from “the other side”. Thank you! I used to be a fan of Musk, but to simply call him a “jerk” seems to me a vast understatement. His delusions of grandeur, despite his demonstrably high intelligence, has now crossed over into megalomania. This is dangerous territory for an individual with too much concentrated wealth and power. He needs to be checked, for all of our sakes. He didn’t get to where he is alone and he needs to recognize that.

As for Tesla, I’m all for the innovations and am all in on buying… as soon as I can afford it and as long it doesn’t require a subscription to drive.
