Great list! There are probably way more mystics running around than we think, but unfortunately our modern society doesn’t value the insights, tools, and experiences that modern mystics bring to the table. I’m a believer in data-driven decision making, but the “data” that a mystic provides, because it’s inherently subjective, is often ignored or outright derided. That can cause a loss of self-esteem and self-worth in the modern mystic.

I would add to the list that mystics, ancient and modern alike, are in tune with a distinctly feminine energy, the “formless womb of Creation/Wisdom”as it’s often described in varying traditions. Again, under-valued and sometimes trampled on by patriarchal societies.
