Great article and analysis! Bravo!

The schizo-analysis that you describe from D&G is very similar to the type of analysis that I learned from Lao Tzu in the Tao Te Ching. I forget the exact chapter number, but it can be found most prominently in the assertion that it is the emptiness of the bowl that makes it work. Putting it to your analogy, the eye of Sauron/objectivity is looking at the form and shape of the bowl, but it’s function as a bowl is defined just as much by the empty space in the bowl as it is defined form and shape.

Leaning further into non-dualistic analysis, there is a conception of “the emptiness is full”. Many non-dualistic statements come across as paradoxical, but the point of leaning into the paradox is to break our minds. To force us to abandon perceived separation and look at the whole as one and continuous.

That all sounds a bit nonsensical and inapplicable to daily life. However, I find many ways to apply this type of thinking. While it can be difficult to describe, it is very much akin to the type of analysis that you’ve done here.

Again, thank you for a thought provoking piece!
