Great article! I fully believe in the body’s ability to heal itself, given the right nutrition and environment. Also, being diabetic, I know all too well about hidden “confounding factors” contributing to unwellness.

More specifically to power of the mind, stress and anxiety produce a volatile internal milieu which, while useful during a crisis, our bodies did not evolve to maintain that state. Prolonged periods of stress and anxiety actually block or break our body’s normal healing operations. So if we are able to control our emotions, using whatever method, then we give our body the space and free energy to do what it does.

I personally do this consciously with my heart health at least. I’m a smoker (yeah yeah, I know…) and I do occasionally get chest pains. I could freak out and worry, but I know that would just make it worse. So I just breath deeply, relax, and not let myself focus in on it. To be clear, I do get regular chest X-rays and have been to cardiologists to make sure I’m good. Every time, clean bill of health. Not only healthy but strong. Which is surprising to me, knowing what I do to my body 😝

Yet another white dude with yet another opinion. Is that opinion founded in Wisdom? I don't know, you tell me.
