For a religion born of martyrdom, it seems they’ve learned well from their oppressors all the tricks of the trade to ascend to demonhood. Such is their spiritual immaturity.

Abortion, affirmative action, civil rights in general… the countless victims of gun violence and hate… these are our martyrs. Will we take our cue from the oppressors playbook? Will we become the demons? Are we building a new religion of martyrdom?

This is not a criticism of the left, more like a warning. We can’t be so blinded by our own righteousness that we end up becoming what we’re fighting. Yet we must fight, and for our children’s future, we have to somehow dispel this martyr/oppressor narrative. We need to see the “enemy” not as demons, but as the unruly children they really are. As well, we must see ourselves as children desperately looking around for the adults. I’m not sure there are many “adults” around these days…

Yet another white dude with yet another opinion. Is that opinion founded in Wisdom? I don't know, you tell me.
