Better? From this point of view, maybe. I’ll grant that. But what would a world without be like? How would that effect humanity and our evolution? I honestly don’t know, but those are legitimate questions.

Misanthropy? I recognize the uniqueness of humanity and obviously, being human, see the value of keeping humanity around. I can also hold the the counter belief that humanity outside the context of the ecological sphere that we were born from is a precarious idea. In other words, I can believe that a human life is worth way more than a a roaches. I will go to great lengths to save a human life if I have the power to do so. I have no qualms stepping on a roach.

Yet I can also respect the value of roaches existing in general (just not in my house), simply because they exist. I still have faith in something bigger than me that knows why exist and keeps them around for some purpose.
